Even though I have only had two years here at SDSU and two years in the program, I feel I have grown tremendously as a leader. Especially through my work at ASUB, I feel like I have the experience and confidence to succeed in this industry. When I first came to SDSU I knew I had a passion for events but I didn’t know how I would turn it into a career. I can confidently say that I know exactly what I want to do post-graduation and I am looking forward to making my dreams a reality.

​I have grown throughout various group projects from the shy, new girl to the confident event queen that got promoted to the Senior ASUB Programs Assistant in the beginning of the spring semester. We had someone in our department leave and I offered to step up and take on some additional work and ended up getting promoted. The Bianca in fall of 2021 would have never had the courage to seize this opportunity. But as I learned from Mark Testa, be assertive! This was a new role that was created specifically for me. I took on new responsibilities such as handling all of our physical marketing, being on-site event help, and whatever other projects arose throughout the semester. I am proud of all that I have been able to accomplish in just nine months in this role. I cannot wait to continue to grow as a leader and find my next home.
